July Andrea Martinez Martinez is an associate focusing her practice in the areas of business law and commercial litigation. Andrea is an internationally trained attorney with academic and professional experience in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. Andrea also has experience in environmental law, international legal frameworks, and regulatory issues related to sustainable development and renewable energy. Andrea is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and Colombia.

Andrea graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, School of Legal Sciences, Colombia with a Bachelor of Law and obtained her Master of Laws from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School. During her legal studies, Andrea was awarded a prestigious scholarship to attend the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London, an international academic collaboration between Georgetown University Law Center and King’s College London, where she completed coursework in transnational law.

In 2019, Andrea represented the only South American team in the Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition. Her academic work includes a thesis analyzing the legal framework for geothermal energy development in Colombia, which later contributed to her chapter, “La sostenibilidad y la energía geotérmica: la necesidad de instituciones sólidas para la eficacia del desarrollo sostenible” in the book Sostenibilidad y Derecho: Discursos de Protección Ambiental desde el Derecho Internacional para la Transformación de las Ciencias Jurídicas (2025).
